Jazz Dance
Jazz dancing is a dance form that focuses on expressing a dancer’s originality. All jazz dancers comprehend and perform in their own way. Executing moves involves fancy footwork, big leaps, and quick turns. In order to excel in jazz, you need to have a strong foundation in ballet, as it needs grace and balance. Although your instructor will teach you steps, you have the challenge to make each step your own.
Lyrical Dance
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz, and it requires you to interpret music and express your emotion in elongated movements. A good lyrical dancer would attempt to create new aesthetic impressions of the music. This dance form is considered to be a very passionate and emotional dance style that portrays emotions such as love and tells a story in a subtle yet engaging way.
Modern Classical Dance
Modern dance is a broad genre that involves western concert or theatrical dance. People also argue that this dance form has evolved as a rebellion against classical ballet. At the Institute of Dance, we have an experienced instructor who can teach you everything you have to learn about modern classical dance.
